Welcome to my personal portfolio! My name is Yesenia Ramos and I'm a fourth-year student studying Journalism on the Strategic Communication track and Digital Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2023.

 

I was born and raised in Green Bay Wisconsin. Let that sink in. It wasn't awful but it wasn't the best either. I hardly had any creative outlets and was sad a lot because I felt like I couldn’t be who I wanted to be.

It was when I started school in Chicago that I found myself and “my people” (as cliché as that sounds). Just one year of living there helped shape so much of who I am today: colorful, creative and unique.

 

Being a daughter of immigrants has definitely come with its setbacks but yet here I am. When taking a look around I hope you see the dedication and passion I pour into my work and see how seriously I take my education. Take a look around and you will find projects I have completed throughout courses at DePaul University and UW Madison.
